On May 25, 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) came into effect after a two-year transition period. Since then, numerous requirements must be implemented within institutions. Failure to comply can result in fines of up to 20 million euros or up to 4% of the total worldwide annual turnover of the previous financial year.

The online basic course offers practical insights into the GDPR and provides participants with a hands-on guide. The goal is to enable participants to assess the current state of data protection within their institutions.

After completing the online training, you will have a better understanding of key legal concepts and will be able to plan and initiate the implementation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Federal Data Protection Act.
